They say age is just a number and that holds true especially for these celebrities becoming parents. Of late, multiple male celebrities have welcomed a child well past what could be considered their prime. Rather than letting age be a barrier, parenting in later years is steadily turning out to be a preferable choice in Bollywood and Hollywood.

Al Pacino may be 83 but that didn't stop this Hollywood superstar, who welcomed a baby boy Roman with his girlfriend Noor Al Fallah, who is 29 years old. Hot on his heels was legendary actor Robert De Niro, who had his seventh child with his partner Tiffany Chen at 79 recently. Alec Baldwin, at 65, collectively has 8 children, the youngest of which he and his wife Hilaria Baldwin announced to the world in 2022. While a majority of men might be well into their retirement plans at that age, these stars have no qualms with starting their parenting journey from scratch even in their 80s.

Bollywood isn't far behind on this parenting trend either. Prabhudeva, who is 50 years old, recently welcomed a daughter. Shah Rukh Khan was in his late 40s when his youngest son AbRam Khan was born in 2013. Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal, who shares 2 young adult daughters with his ex-wife Mehr Jesia, opted to once again sign up for the wild ride that parenting is, in 2019, when he welcomed his son Arik with his partner Gabriella Demetriades. Currently 50 years old, Arjun is now expecting his second child with Gabriella to add to his flock.

While we're discussing expanding the flock without giving age a second thought, Saif Ali Khan cannot be missed. The Bollywood actor is a father of 4 and his youngest sons Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan were born when Saif was well into his 40s.

For fathers in particular, age has very little to do with becoming parents, as these celebrities have proved. Timing seems to be the most important factor instead. With their career-building years behind them and life seemingly rock solid, welcoming a bundle of joy into the world with all the resources at their disposal sounds promising. The whirlwind of diapers and baby formula might just be the retirement plan that celebrities seek to invigorate their lives.
